Weekly Recap: August 19/26
In my excitement for traveling for fun instead of work I never scheduled my post for last week so here’s a double-up
August 19th: an unintentional segment run week.
Monday: I flew CLT-DTW-AZO. I was working hard on the Marriott Megabonus so I stayed at the Fairfield Inn while my coworker stayed at the FourPoints down the road. He’s a Hilton guy and forgot there is a Hampton Inn in AZO. For dinner Yelp made it sound like Rustica was the best bet and it was very good.
Tuesday: We needed to fly from AZO to GFK…well really I needed to be in Bemidji but the airfare gods were not making that book out at all so AZO-DTW-MSP-GFK it is! Eventually made it to the Hampton Inn in Bemidji. It’s very nice with a lodge type feel and great views of the lake. It also has a DoubleTree being built right next to it for those who want a full service property. Overall the Hampton was definitely a place I’d like to revisit during peak summer months. It has an indoor pool so if the weather is crappy even kiddos can have fun.
Wednesday: Another night at the Hampton Inn. Ate dinner next door at the Green Mill. It’s a chain, but not a chain I have in Charlotte. I had the Jerkin Mango Walleye
Thursday: Flew home GFK-MSP-CLT. The upgrade didn’t clear MSP-CLT which is odd because my upgrades on Mondays to Atlanta have started clearing…
Friday: Work from Home
August 26th
Monday: CLT-ATL-PIT (upgraded CLT-ATL).
Tuesday: PIT-DTW-CLT – no upgrades
